Large Animal and Exotic Ration Formulation

Information Consult

Designed to help answer your animal nutrition questions, the Information Consult provides owners and veterinarians the chance to discuss their nutrition questions with a board certified veterinary nutritionist either by phone or through e-mail communications.

Cost: $60 for 30 minutes or part thereof.

Please contact us for discounted Information Consult rates for veterinarians.

Basic Nutrition Consult

The Basic Nutrition Consult provides a more detailed answer to your nutrition question in a written form. Basic Nutrition Consults are ideal for veterinarians or clients who have questions about how to feed an animal to manage a particular disease or life stage, but do not want a full ration or diet formulation.

All Basic Nutrition Consults are done after the case is reviewed with the primary care veterinarian. The Veterinary Nutrition Consult Request Form (large animal/exotic) should be completed and returned before the consult work can be done. Animal owners should also complete a Diet History Form (large animal/exotic).

Veterinarians and clients will receive a letter with answers to the general nutrition questions.

Cost: Variable depending on the complexity of the questions. Estimated cost will be discussed with the client before work is started.

Complete Nutrition Consult

With a Complete Nutrition Consult, we will gather the animal's medical and diet history and will formulate a ration or diet to manage the animal's unique health needs. The Complete Nutrition Consult should be thought of as a diet prescription for the animal, and is designed to meet the nutritional needs of the animal when commercial diets are not available.
